The NHS Community Pharmacy Blood Pressure Check Service helps people over 40 who have not previously been diagnosed with hypertension. 

If you have not had your blood pressure checked in the past 6 months, you can ask a pharmacist to check it for you. The pharmacist will use a cuff to measure your blood pressure.

• If your blood pressure is normal, the pharmacist will talk to you about healthy habits that can help you keep your blood pressure in a healthy range.
• If your blood pressure is high, the pharmacist will offer you a more detailed test called ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). ABPM involves wearing a small device that measures your blood pressure over a 24-hour period.
• If your blood pressure is very high, the pharmacist will refer you to your doctor.

Consultation Fee: £20. | One ear: £35. | Both ears: £60 - £10 discount of consultatin fee (£70 total to pay). If you do not require treatment, you pay just for the consultation.
